2020 Christmas tree farm sessions are all wrapped up and I am so excited to share them with you. As usual they took place at the beautiful Hidden Pond Tree Farm in Mendham, New Jersey. If you have never been to this farm you should definitely check it out at some point. It is absolutely gorgeous!

My sessions ran a little differently this year than in the past. I decided to hold only 1-2 sessions per day rather than 2 days of back to back sessions all day long. Those would leave me completely exhausted by the end of the day as well as always feeling rushed and no time to talk with the family. This year I felt like I had more time before we started to chat with the clients and get to know them a little better before we started the session. I did use my long lens to keep my distance but I still feel like I was able to capture that special bond that families share.

I will admit that I almost canceled these sessions this year thanks to the pandemic. I was letting fear get to me and I just wanted to hide inside with my family in the comforts of home. But as we started to get closer and the inquiries started rolling in asking if I will be doing my tree farm sessions again this year I decided to go for it with some of those changes I mentioned above.
